The PSL Player Draft’s star attraction will be AB de Villiers, the former captain of the South Africa team after he signed with the domestic T20 Pakistan’s League on the 7th of September. De Villiers said, during the video message announcing that he is looking forward to being part of the T20 premier tournament, he signed up for Pakistan’s 2018-2019 season. The Super League in Pakistan has grown into the top T20 tournament internationally, and De Villiers shared that he really enjoyed watching the previous PSL matches. If there is one league that gives Pakistan a whole lot to cheer about it is the PSL and AB certainly can’t wait to be a part of it.

Earlier this year, AB De Villiers announced his retirement in international cricket, this superstar has eleven years of IPL experience as well as the Caribbean Premier League experience in the Barbados Tridents in 2016. In 251 T20’s he aggregated 6,649 runs with a strike rate of 148, 45 fifties and three centuries. De Villiers played seventy-eight T20Is for South Africa in which he achieved 10 half-centuries and 1,672 runs.

Born in 1984, Abraham Benjamin De Villiers is commonly known as the former cricketer of South Africa who was part of the South African National Team. De Villiers is regarded worldwide as the greatest all-time batsmen and holds an array of batting records. This includes the fastest test century by a player from South Africa, the fastest One Day International in the world 50, 100 and 150, the fastest T20I, 50 by a South African in Twenty20 International. He also played for the Titans, Royal Challengers Bangalore as well as in the Indian Premier League.
AB De Villiers started his international cricket career as a batsman/wicket-keeper although more often as a batsman. Known as the most innovative batsmen in modern cricket, de Villiers often surprises with unorthodox shots behind slips and the wicket-keeper. His international debut was in 2004 in the Test match against England, in the Twenty20 International his debut came in 2006. He passed 8,000 runs in 2016 in both DI and Test cricket and completed a trio of a 100 Plus strike rate, 50+ over and 5,000 + runs in his impressive career.
