Lawrence Stroll Makes Rare Statement to F1 Grid

The Co-Owner of Racing Point has begun targeting the Formula One Grid after remaining silent for years. Lawrence Stroll has released a defensive statement that backs his workforce, indicating that accusations of cheating is unacceptable & won’t be tolerated. These sentiments from Lawrence Stroll comes after the Canadian Billionaire was targeted by Scuderia Ferrari, McLaren Racing, Williams F1, and Renault over the RP20 Car.

FIA Stewards forced a substantial punishment onto Racing Point after multiple appeals were issued against the RP20 Car, with their vehicle sharing significant similarities with Mercedes AMG-Petronas W10 from 2019. Lawrence Stroll grew angrier after learning that Scuderia Ferrari would implement another appeal against the RP20, which follows after the FIA issued a £361 thousand fine onto Raping Point & deducted fifteen points from their constructor’s championship.

The fine applies explicitly towards the “Rear Brake Ducts” on the RP20, which hadn’t been altered from the 2019 Specs on Racing Points RP19. Legislation changes with the FIA required that each respective team manufacture rear Brake Ducts. That’s different from 2019, which allowed organizations to purchase their RBDs from other suppliers. It was found that Racing Point was still using their Rear Brake Ducts from Mercedes AMG-Petronas, a clear violation of the new regulation standards.

Canadian Billionaire Fights Back

Lawrence Stroll iterated that he typically doesn’t speak to the Formula One Grid but felt prompted after competing teams have suggested he cheated. Lawrence emphasized that he’s never cheated with anything throughout his life, earning everything on his own. Stroll feels his integrity in Formula One has been stricken, while also noting that accusations are unacceptable. The Racing Point CEO maintains his team’s innocence, emphasizing disappointment with the FIA for ruling in-favour of Renault.

The Father of Lance Stroll would then finalize his statement, clarifying that those dragging Racing Point’s name through the mud will not be accepted. Lawrence Stroll confirmed he’d take the necessary actions to guarantee their innocence, hinting towards a lawsuit against Scuderia Ferrari & Renault. Lawrence would then note that under the leadership of Mattia Binotto, Scuderia Ferrari have regularly shown poor sportsmanship.
